soarer

Japanese: soarer
soarer

...Large gliders were developed for transporting troops, military and supplies during World War II, but after the war, glider flying became the predominant sport. In the past, glider piloting training consisted of three stages: primary gliders for the very basics, secondary gliders for intermediate training, and soarers with a lift-to-drag ratio of over 30. However, today, training begins with two-seater soarers, and the primary and secondary gliders have disappeared.
[Glider Performance]
As mentioned in the principle section, the greater the lift-to-drag ratio of a glider, the farther it can fly.
