...Therefore, psychopathology overlaps with psychiatry in many areas, and did not have its own history until the end of the 19th century. It gradually came to have a systematic methodology, which is the result of the differentiation of the various fields that make up psychiatry from the 20th century onwards, and it is said that the foundation for this was laid by the German G. Störring's book "Lectures on Psychopathology" (1900). However, it was K. Jaspers who systematized psychopathology with a strict methodology, and his "General Psychopathology" (first edition 1913) is considered a monumental achievement in this field due to its great influence.
