This order includes the family Oedogoniaceae, which includes the genus Oedogonia, which has unbranched filaments, as well as two genera: Bulbochaete , which has stinging hairs on the apical cells of the branching filaments, and Oedocladium , which has no stinging hairs on the apical cells.
