Surya (English spelling)

...The symbolic meaning of the horse is mainly based on its physical ability (used for towing, riding, etc.), its sharp judgment, and also its coat color (especially white and black). First of all, the horse (especially the white horse) is considered a sacred beast that pulls the chariot of the sun god (Helios in Greece, Surya in India, etc.), and it also becomes a symbol of the sun itself. On the other hand, it is also the beast that pulls the chariot of the dead to the land of the dead, and therefore it is often buried with the dead, and horse statues (terracotta) and horse equipment are sometimes used as grave goods.
