Weathering steel - weathering steel
Steel that contains small amounts of copper and chromium to improve corrosion resistance in the atmosphere. Some steels have small amounts of nickel, titanium, molybdenum, niobium, etc. added to improve tensile strength and weldability and workability. Used for iron structures exposed to polluted air in industrial areas or on coasts where there is a risk of salt damage.
