Okyozuka ruins - Okyozukaiseki

Japanese: 御経塚遺跡 - おきょうづかいせき

This is a settlement site from the late to final Jomon period located at an altitude of 10m at the northern tip of the Tedori River alluvial fan in Gokyozuka, Nonoichi-cho, Ishikawa-gun, Ishikawa Prefecture. Nearby are similar sites from the same period such as Yokaichi Shinpo and Nakaya. The size of the site is estimated to be 300m x 250m, of which 15,000m2 was designated as a historic site in March 1977. In March 1956, an excavation survey was carried out as part of the compilation project of the former Oshino village history, and Gokyozuka-type pottery was identified. During this survey, stone tools containing sacred items (Giyobutsu), which are often found in Gifu Prefecture and the Hokuriku region, were discovered in a placed state, marking the first unearthed example from an excavation survey.

石川県石川郡野々市町御経塚，手取川扇状地北部扇端，標高10mに位置する縄文時代後･晩期の集落遺跡。近辺に，八日市新保（ようかいちしんぽ）･中屋などの同期の遺跡がある。遺跡の規模は，300m×250mと推定されており，うち1万5000m2が1977年3月史跡指定を受けた。1956年3月旧押野村史編集事業の一環として発掘調査が実施され，御経塚式土器が設定された。この調査において，岐阜県から北陸地方で多出する御物（ぎよぶつ）石器が安置された状態で発見され，発掘調査による初の出土例となった。
