A female mask with a low nose and full cheeks. Also called Otafuku. Said to be derived from Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto, in Bunraku puppets it is called Ofuku, and in Kyogen masks it is called Otogoze and Oto. In Sato Kagura it is a pair of clowns and Hyottoko. 低い鼻,豊かな頬(ほお)の女の面。一名お多福。天鈿女(あめのうずめ)命に由来するともいわれ,文楽人形ではお福,狂言面では乙御前(おとごぜ),乙といった。里神楽(さとかぐら)ではひょっとこと一対の道化。神楽面としては福神系。のちこの面に似た醜女を一般にお亀,お多福と呼んだ。
