Year of birth: Jomei 7 (635)
An official and court noble from the late 7th century to the early 8th century. Son of Fuse Maroko and father of Hironiwa. His original surname was Fuse Ason. During the Jinshin War (672), he played an active role on the side of Prince Oama (later Emperor Tenmu), and in 686, when Emperor Tenmu passed away, he was appointed as the Grand Council of State. In 687, he was appointed as the funeral palace for Emperor Tenmu. In 689, he offered congratulations to Empress Jito on her accession to the throne, and in 688, after becoming the head of the Abe clan, he was given the surname Abe Ason, and in 700, he was granted the title of Shohirosan. After serving as Dainagon, he was promoted to Junior Second Rank in 701 and became Minister of the Right.

7世紀後半から8世紀初めの官人,公卿。布勢麻呂古の子。広庭の父。はじめの姓は布勢朝臣。壬申の乱(672)では大海人皇子(のちの天武天皇)方で活躍し,朱鳥1(686)年天武天皇の崩御に際して太政官事を誄した。持統1(687)年には天武の殯宮に誄した。同4年持統天皇即位にあたり賀騰極を奏し,8年阿倍氏の氏上となってから阿倍朝臣の姓を賜り,文武4(700)年正広参を授けられる。大納言を経て大宝1(701)年従二位に昇り右大臣となる。
