Year of death: Taiho 3, leap year 4, 1 (May 20, 703) Year of birth: Jomei 7 (635) An official and court noble from the late 7th century to the early 8th century. Son of Fuse Maroko and father of Hironiwa. His original surname was Fuse Ason. During the Jinshin War (672), he played an active role on the side of Prince Oama (later Emperor Tenmu), and in 686, when Emperor Tenmu passed away, he was appointed as the Grand Council of State. In 687, he was appointed as the funeral palace for Emperor Tenmu. In 689, he offered congratulations to Empress Jito on her accession to the throne, and in 688, after becoming the head of the Abe clan, he was given the surname Abe Ason, and in 700, he was granted the title of Shohirosan.
