...Mande languages ​​have a large number of speakers, comparable to the Hausa language of West Africa and the Swahili language of East Africa. The Mande peoples in Mali include agriculturalists such as the Bambara (1.66 million), Soninke (Sarakole) (420,000), Malinke (300,000), and Khassonke, as well as Dyula traders who are engaged in trade. Among the tribes with different linguistic systems, such as the Atlantic language group and the Volta language group, the most prominent are the Fulbe (Fulani, Pool) (550,000) who live in the inland delta region formed by the Niger River in the center, the Senufo (430,000) who live in the south, the Songhai (300,000) who live in the great bend of the Niger River in the east, the Dogon (240,000) who live in the Bandiagara Mountains, the Tuareg who live in the desert in the north, and the Maure who live in the Sahel region to the south.
