He was from Koryo-gun, Musashi Province (including Hidaka-cho, Saitama Prefecture) and was the grandson of Fukutoku, who returned from Goguryeo in the late 7th century and lived in Musashi. As a boy, he accompanied his uncle Yukibun to Kyoto, and after hearing of his strength as a sumo wrestler, he entered the service, and in 743 he became the head of the Harumiya clan. He was favored by Emperor Shomu, and in 749 he was given the surname Shonao by Shonako. In 749 he was a junior fourth-ranked junior officer of the Chuei and also served as Murasaki no Shohi under Fujiwara no Nakamaro. In 752 he was given the surname Koryo Ason. During the Tachibana Naramaro Rebellion (757), he participated in the pursuit of the persecutors, and in 754 he became the Daifu of Shinbu (Nakabu). In 765 he was promoted to the third rank, and in 767 he was appointed as the Minister of Palace Construction and also served as Dōkyō's Hōō-gu no Daifu. In 773, he was rewarded for his contributions to the construction of the Yamamomo Palace, and in the 10th year of his reign he was given the surname Takakura Ason. In 781, he became a Danjo-no-tada, but retired in 785, when he was awarded a staff and a futon. Having weathered political upheaval well, he died with the rank of Junior Third Rank. 没年:延暦8.10.17(789.11.8) 生年:和銅2(709) 奈良時代の官人。本姓は肖奈。武蔵国高麗郡(埼玉県日高町など)の人で,7世紀後半高句麗から来帰して武蔵に住んだ福徳の孫。少年の時伯父行文に従い上京,相撲の力が聞こえて出仕し,天平15(743)年春宮亮に。聖武天皇の寵厚く,19年肖奈公から肖奈王と賜姓。天平勝宝1(749)年には中衛少将従四位下で藤原仲麻呂のもと紫微少弼を兼ねた。2年高麗朝臣と賜姓。橘奈良麻呂の乱(757)では追捕に当たり,4年信部(中務)大輔に。天平神護1(765)年には従三位に昇り,神護景雲1(767)年造宮卿で道鏡の法王宮大夫を兼ねた。宝亀4(773)年楊梅宮(やまもものみやとも)造作の功を賞され,10年高倉朝臣と賜姓。天応1(781)年 弾正尹 となったが,延暦4(785)年致仕し,杖,衾を賜った。政治的変動をよく乗り切った末,散位従三位として没。 (佐藤信) 出典 朝日日本歴史人物事典:(株)朝日新聞出版朝日日本歴史人物事典について 情報 |
