Khaṛī Bolī (English spelling) KhariBoli

...From the 14th century onwards, love stories in the Awadhi dialect and epics of Rama worship in a literary version of the Awadhi dialect were written, while lyric poetry of Krishna worship and skillful love poetry were written in a literary version based on the Braj dialect. Then, from the mid-19th century, the Khaṛī Bolī dialect, which had spread widely under the Mughal rule, became the common language, incorporating vocabulary from the earlier literary languages, and took over the modern and contemporary literature, which was mainly prose rather than verse. Looking at the main trends in Hindi literature in roughly chronological order, focusing on their creators and themes, epics such as Narpati Narhar's "Beesardeva Rāso" (12th century) and Chand Bardāi's "Prithbīraj Rāso" (late 12th century?) were written by court poets who freely incorporated folk stories to praise kings and nobles.

From Dubibedi

…In the process, he found a need for clear prose, so he built it himself and revised the writings of his successors. He also promoted a movement to write poetry in a common Hindi language based on the Khaṛī Bolī dialect, the same as for critiques and novels, and almost achieved this goal. [Sakata Teiji] …

[Hindustani]

The name is derived from the place name for Hindustan (India). In the narrow sense, it is used as another name for the Khaṛī Boli dialect of the Doab region of northern India, and in the broad sense, it is used to refer to the common language of northern India that was formed based on that dialect. The latter usage is more common.

Japanese:
