S. Freud's representative work (1916-17). It is based on the lectures on psychoanalysis that Freud gave at the University of Vienna in front of audiences of doctors and the general public in the winter semesters of 1915-16 and 1916-17. It consists of three parts: the first deals with apraxia, the second with dream theory, and the third with the theory of neurosis. Although it is an overview aimed at the general public, Freud aimed to systematize psychoanalysis and establish the theory of neurosis.
