…But he was not discouraged, and from his base in Kabul, he invaded India five times from 1919 onwards, defeating the army of Ibrahim, the ruler of the Lodi dynasty of Delhi, in the Battle of Panipat in 26 and occupying Delhi and Agra. In the following year, 27, he defeated the army of Rana Sangha of the Rajput tribe in the Battle of Kanwa, laying the foundation for the Mughal Empire's rule over India. He died of illness in Agra in 30.
