…This is almost the same as in Germany. (1) Farmstead, homestead: This corresponds to the isolated manor house of Meizen. (2) Hamlet: This corresponds to the German Weiler or Drubbel. It is smaller than a village, usually consisting of 6 to 8 houses, and does not form a parish because of its small size. It usually does not have a church or school.
