Thai politician. In addition to being prime minister four times, he also served as minister of transport. His father was a member of the royal family and a provincial governor. He studied in France at his own expense at the age of 15. After returning to Japan in 1927, he worked at the Post and Telegraph Bureau. While in France, he joined a secret society formed by fellow students to overthrow the absolute monarchy, and during the constitutional revolution of 1932, he was responsible for sabotaging communications facilities. As soon as he became the fourth prime minister in August 1944 during World War II, he pretended to cooperate with the Japanese military, with which Thailand was allied, but secretly teamed up with the anti-Japanese underground group Free Thailand, and cooperated with the Allied forces, leading to a favorable international status for Thailand after the war.

タイの政治家。首相に4度就任したほか，交通相などを歴任。父は王族で地方総督。15歳でフランスへ私費留学。1927年帰国後，郵便電信局に勤めた。在仏中から留学生を中心に絶対王制打倒のために組織された秘密結社に参加，32年の立憲革命では通信施設破壊工作を担当した。第2次世界大戦中の44年8月第4代首相に就任するや，同盟関係にあった日本軍に協力すると見せかけ，裏で抗日地下組織自由タイと組み，連合軍との連携をはかり，終戦後のタイの国際的地位を有利に導いた。
