Dake [Hot Spring] - Only
9km west of Nihonmatsu city, Fukushima prefecture. Located on the plateau at the eastern foot of Mt. Adatara. Acidic green spring water. 65℃. Legend has it that it was discovered in ancient and medieval times, and the Nihonmatsu domain built a hot spring resort here in the Edo period. The water is drawn from a metal mine about 8km away. It is a national health resort, and a good place for summer vacations, hiking and skiing. There is a bus service available from Nihonmatsu Station on the Tohoku Main Line.
