9km west of Nihonmatsu city, Fukushima prefecture. Located on the plateau at the eastern foot of Mt. Adatara. Acidic green spring water. 65℃. Legend has it that it was discovered in ancient and medieval times, and the Nihonmatsu domain built a hot spring resort here in the Edo period. The water is drawn from a metal mine about 8km away. It is a national health resort, and a good place for summer vacations, hiking and skiing. There is a bus service available from Nihonmatsu Station on the Tohoku Main Line. 福島県二本松市の市街西方9km。安達太良山(あだたらやま)東麓の高原にある。酸性緑バン泉。65℃。古代・中世から開湯とする所伝があり,江戸時代には二本松藩による温泉街の建設もあった。湯は約8km離れた鉄山から引く。国民保養温泉で,避暑,安達太良登山,スキーの適地。東北本線二本松駅からバスがある。
