...The Wartburg Contest is a song contest that was written in the 13th century by poets who admired Wolfram. The first part, in which Heinrich von Ofterdingen sings for Leopold of Austria and is defeated by the poets who praised Hermann von Thuringen (Wolfram, Walter von der Vogelweide, Reinmar von Zweter, Biterolf, and a secretary), is called the Wartburg Contest. The second part, in which Wolfram solves Klingsor's religious riddles one after another and wins, is called the Wartburg Contest. The two parts are called the Wartburg Contest, but this title was added in the 19th century for the convenience of research.
