Hematocele

... refers to a condition in which blood accumulates in one place and forms a mass in tissues or organs that do not originally have a cavity. When blood accumulates in a cavity or in a tubular or sac-like organ, it is called a hematocele and is distinguished from a hematoma. A hematoma is a mass-like blood clot, but when blood seeps out over a wide area with unclear boundaries, it is called bloody infiltration.
