Absolute inequality

An inequality is an inequality that holds true regardless of the values of the letters included in the inequality. Absolute inequalities include x ² + 3 x + 4＞0 and x ² + y ² + 2＞0. Well-known absolute inequalities include the relationship between the arithmetic mean ( a + b )/2, geometric mean, and harmonic mean 2 ab /( a + b ) when a > 0, b > 0, arithmetic mean ≧ geometric mean ≧ harmonic mean (the equation holds only when a = b ), and Schwarz's inequality. There are conditional inequalities for absolute inequalities.
