falsafa islāmīya (English spelling) falsafaislamiya

...This is an Arabic version of the Greek word philosophia. However, in recent years, as Western philosophy and other non-Islamic cultural ideas have been introduced to the Islamic world, Muslims themselves sometimes refer to traditional Islamic philosophy as Islamic philosophy, falsafa islāmīya, to distinguish it from these. This philosophical tradition originates from the fact that Islamic culture inherited the legacy of Hellenistic philosophy that existed in the Middle Eastern countries conquered by Muslims in the 7th century, and that its study was greatly encouraged under the rule of the emerging Islamic empire.
