Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Established in 1961 as the successor to the Organization for European Economic Cooperation (OEEC). Its objectives cover international economic cooperation in general, but it places particular emphasis on the economic development of member countries through trade liberalization and assistance to developing countries. The highest body is the Council, which is made up of representatives of member countries, and below it is the Executive Committee and the Secretariat. There are 35 technical committees, including the Economic Policy Committee, the Development Assistance Committee (DAC), and the Trade Committee, as subordinate bodies. Its headquarters are in Paris. Its member countries are the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Chile, Slovenia, Israel, and Estonia (2013).

経済協力開発機構Organization for Economic Cooperation and Developmentの略称。ヨーロッパ経済協力機構（OEEC）の後身として1961年発足。その目的は国際経済協力全般にわたるが，特に貿易自由化による加盟国の経済的発展と開発途上諸国援助に重点が置かれている。加盟国代表による理事会が最高機関で，その下に執行委員会，事務局がある。下部機関には経済政策委員会，開発援助委員会（DAC），貿易委員会など35の専門委員会がある。本部パリ。加盟国は米国，カナダ，メキシコ，英国，フランス，ドイツ，イタリア，オランダ，ベルギー，ルクセンブルク，ノルウェー，スウェーデン，デンマーク，アイスランド，フィンランド，アイルランド，スイス，オーストリア，ギリシア，トルコ，スペイン，ポルトガル，オーストラリア，ニュージーランド，日本，韓国，チェコ，ハンガリー，ポーランド，スロバキア，チリ，スロベニア，イスラエル，エストニアの34ヵ国（2013）。
