Louisiana irises (English spelling)

…There are about 40 wild species that belong to the bearded iris group, and in horticulture, those that are 40 cm or less tall are called dwarfs, and the Chinese tallow iris I. pumila L. is also included in this group. (3) Bearded iris group (those without hair-like projections on the outer tepals) (a) Louisiana irises There are five species, including I. fulva Ker-Gawl. (English name copper iris), which grows wild in the Mississippi River basin in the United States, as well as natural hybrids and numerous horticultural varieties. They come in a wide variety of colors, and their flowers resemble Japanese iris and Japanese iris. (b) Siberian iris: This type consists of the European species Iris sibirica L. and Iris sanguinea Donn., as well as hybrids of these two species. By the early 1900s, there were approximately 150 cultivars. Since then, the flower shape has been significantly improved, and in addition to bluish purple and white, previously unfamiliar cultivars in pink and yellow have also been developed. These species are widely planted in gardens in the UK and the US.
