...The recessed parts are filled with lime or yellow ochre, and the raised parts are painted with soot or red ochre. In the past, all meeting houses in the Palau Islands had a wooden statue called a Dilukai attached to the gable. This was a nude female figure with her legs spread wide to expose her genitals.
