Lining

Japanese: ライニング
Lining

Also called lining. Coatings are generally thin, while linings are thick films, but there is no clear distinction between the two. Lining materials include inorganic materials such as glass, ceramics, lead, zinc, and nickel, metal materials, and synthetic resins such as poly(vinyl chloride), polyethylene, and fluororesin.

内張りともいう.コーティングは一般に薄く,ライニングは厚く皮膜をつくることをさすが,明確な区別はない.ライニング材料としては,ガラス,セラミックス,鉛,亜鉛,ニッケルなどの無機材料,金属材料のほか,ポリ(塩化ビニル),ポリエチレン,フッ素樹脂などの合成樹脂が用いられる.
