Dictyopharidae

…A general term for insects belonging to the order Hemiptera, suborder Homoptera, family Dictyopharidae, or one of these. The family Dictyopharidae is distributed in most parts of the world, with about 500 species currently known, and many species recorded from tropical and subtropical regions such as South America and Southeast Asia. Four genera and five species are known from Japan: Dictyopharidae, Nakano Dictyopharidae, Black Dictyopharidae, Black-spotted Dictyopharidae, and Three-legged Dictyopharidae.
