Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries: An international organization established by oil-producing countries with the aim of cooperating in economic activities centered on the oil industry. It was formed in 1968 by the three countries of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Libya.
[Additional information] As of 2021, the group is made up of 10 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Syria, and Egypt, in addition to the three founding countries. Tunisia joined in 1972 but withdrew in 1987.

[補説]2021年現在、結成時の3か国にアラブ首長国連合・アルジェリア・バーレーン・カタール・イラク・シリア・エジプトを加えた10か国で構成される。チュニジアは1972年に参加したが1987年脱退。
