A dance that involves stomping around with a special footstep, which remains a part of folk performing arts today. ※Jikkunsho (1252) 3 "Strike the drum and follow the random rhythm."② One of the Noh dances. An extremely special dance accompanied by only a small drum and special footwork. 〘名〙① 白拍子などの舞の一形式。特殊な足ぶみで踏みまわることのある舞踊で、現在民俗芸能に残っている。※十訓抄(1252)三「鼓を打て乱拍子の次第をとる」② 能の舞事の一つ。小鼓のみで囃し、特別の足づかいなどをするきわめて特殊な舞。現在は「道成寺」でだけ演じられ、重い習物とされる。※五音三曲集(1460)「この外、拍子の名目〈略〉らん拍子、さがりは等の拍子あり」
