Therefore, the former simple ones are called protocoel, while the latter ones are called deuterocoel. Generally, animals that have a protocoel are very low-ranking species of invertebrates (animal groups such as flat, ribbon, and pouch-shaped animals), and these are collectively called protocoelomates. …
