dashina

Japanese: dashina

As for the origin of the word, there is also a theory that it is a transliteration of the Iranian word dashina, which means west. While the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire was clearly recognized by its real name of Futsurin (Room) from the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, Daqin became a country of fantasy, and was conceptualized as the birthplace of Christ with the spread of Nestorianism during the Tang Dynasty.
