CSTP

…The United Nations' Intergovernmental Committee on Science and Technology for Development and the Intergovernmental Committee on New and Renewable Energy Sources are comprehensive, but technical cooperation is becoming more active in developing countries through organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). In addition to the activities of the Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Space and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), specialized agencies such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) are each providing technical assistance and information activities. In the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), there are also several committees such as the Committee on Science and Technology Policy (CSTP). At the 8th Summit of the Major Industrial Countries (Versailles, 1982), which was established after the oil crisis, science and technology issues were raised as the key to revitalizing and growing the world economy, and a working group was established to consider specific cooperation issues and promote them.

…国連における〈開発のための科学技術政府間委員会〉〈新･再生可能エネルギー政府間委員会〉などは総合的なものであるが，発展途上国援助につき国連開発計画(UNDP)，国連貿易開発会議(UNCTAD)，国連工業開発機構(UNIDO)などの機構において技術協力が活発化しており，また宇宙空間平和利用委員会，国連環境計画(UNEP)などの活動のほか，国際原子力機関(IAEA)，国連食糧農業機関(FAO)，世界保健機関(WHO)，国連教育科学文化機関(UNESCO)等の専門機関が，それぞれ技術援助や情報活動を行っている。また経済協力開発機構(OECD)においては，科学技術政策委員会(CSTP)などいくつかの委員会で交流が行われている。　石油危機後に発足した主要先進国首脳会議の第8回会議(1982年，ベルサイユ)において，科学技術の問題が世界経済再活性化および成長の鍵を握るものとしてとりあげられ，作業部会を設けて具体的協力課題等について検討し，促進を図ることとなった。…
