Kashima Torii Gate

〘Noun〙 A type of torii gate. The pillars stand vertically, and a straight kasagi (headboard) with a circular cross section is placed on top, and the pillars are connected with a nuki (cross-section) . 〘名〙 鳥居の一種。柱が垂直に立ち、上に断面が円形でそりのない笠木を載せ、柱を貫(ぬき)でつないだもの。笠木と貫の両端は垂直に切る。
