[Trigonometric ratios]
In a right-angled triangle ABC with ∠ C = 90°, the values ​​of the following six ratios are determined only by the size of angle A and are unrelated to the size of right-angled triangle ABC (Figure 1). The values ​​of these ratios are called the sine (symbol sin), cosine (symbol cos), tangent (symbol tan), cotangent (symbol cot), secant (symbol sec), and cosecant (symbol cosec) of angle A, and are collectively called trigonometric ratios.
