A type of drum dance handed down in the Numakuma Peninsula in southeastern Hiroshima Prefecture. It is also called Hane Odori. It is danced at shrine festivals and village celebrations. It is said that it was also danced to send off insects and pray for rain in the past. The dancers parade into the dance area on a journey, hold flower sticks and flower fans, and dance heroically in a circle to the beat of drums and gongs.
