Polish poet. A representative figure of Polish Romanticism. After being exiled to Russia, he fled to France. During the Crimean War, he tried to organize a volunteer army to fight against Russia, but he died of cholera in Constantinople. His representative works include the collection of poems "Ballads and Romances," the verse drama "Feast of the Fathers," and the epic poem "Pan Tadeusz."
