Mixing two or more types of low molecular weight compounds that can undergo polymerization reactions and polymerizing them simultaneously is called copolymerization, and the product is called a copolymer. For example, by copolymerizing two types of monomers A and B in an addition polymerization reaction, a polymer compound is produced in which the structural units from A and B are contained in the same molecule.
