Kawana

Japanese: 川奈 - かわな
Kawana

An area facing Sagami Bay in the eastern part of Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. A fishing area, where dolphin drive fishing was once popular, has not been practiced in recent years. Currently, squid, mackerel, and turban shells are harvested. The Kawana Golf Course, built in 1927 (Showa 2), was said to be the best in the Orient at the time. There is the cave where Nichiren was exiled. The Izu Kyuko Line and National Route 135 pass through the area.
