…An incident in which people who had consumed rice bran oil manufactured in February 1968 by Kanemi Warehouse Co., Ltd. in Kitakyushu City developed a unique type of poisoning called Yusho. Patients began appearing in early June of that year, and spread throughout western Japan, including Fukuoka Prefecture, Hiroshima Prefecture, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and Nagasaki Prefecture.
