A theater magazine. (1) The first edition: January 1924 to June 1925, 18 issues in total. Edited by Yamamoto Yuzo and later Kume Masao, published by Shinchosha. (2) The second edition: April 1926 to August 1927, 17 issues in total. Edited by Miyake Shutaro, published by Bungeishunjusha. It was founded by a group of 15 well-known playwrights and theater critics. It breathed fresh air into the theater world after the earthquake with original plays, theater reviews, current affairs, research, and introductions to overseas theater, encouraging the revival of theater and introducing up-and-coming playwrights such as Kishida Kunio, which is of great significance.
