Although fishing was prohibited in order to catch fish to offer to the Grand Shrine of Ise, there is a legend that a fisherman repeatedly committed poaching and was caught. This legend appears in various texts, such as the poem "If the sea bream that hauls its wings to Akogi Island is caught, people will know that we will meet again." [2] A Noh play. Fourth piece. Various schools. Written by Zeami. The ghost of a fisherman who was drowned in the sea for poaching at Akogigaura in Ise Province shows the suffering of hell. Also, to be in that state. ※From Namihagihon Kyogen, Bikusada (late Muromachi period - early modern period): "What a wicked thing to say, what a wicked thing to do, even now I dance softly, please forgive me now." ※From Joruri, Yugiri Awanaruto (around 1712): "It is a wicked thing to say, but please, with the mercy of the samurai, embrace me as a father ." [Etymology] From the legend in (1), it was used to mean (2)①, but from the early Edo period, the negative meaning of "shameless" or "forceful" was derived. This is thought to be based on the interpretation that was established from works such as the Noh play "Akogi", the Otogi Zoushi "Akogi no Soshi", and the Joruri "Tamuramaro Suzuka Kassen", which depicted the act as an evil act that violated the land of the shrine.
