Japanese: 金属製品製造業 - きんぞくせいひんせいぞうぎょう

The range of metal products is wide, ranging from cans, Western-style tableware, machine blades, work tools, steel frames and bridges, steel towers, metal sashes, shutters to wire mesh, springs, screws, safes, and many more. Among them, the largest are steel frames and bridges, metal sashes, and food cans. They have a long history, but there are also new products such as aluminum sashes, which first appeared in 1961. Since metal products are generally final products, their demand is easily influenced by trends in the economy and personal consumption. Steel frames and bridges are related to capital investment in manufacturing, sashes to housing construction, and food cans to income levels.

金属製品の範囲は広く，缶，洋食器，機械刃物，作業工具，鉄骨･橋梁，鉄塔，金属製サッシュ，シャッターから金網，ばね，ねじ類，金庫等々多岐にわたる。そのなかで規模が大きいのは，鉄骨･橋梁，金属製サッシュ，食缶等である。古い歴史を有するが，1961年に初めて登場したアルミサッシュのような新顔もある。金属製品は一般に最終製品であるため，その需要は景気や個人消費の動向に左右されやすい。鉄骨･橋梁は製造業の設備投資，サッシュは住宅建設，食缶は所得水準に，という具合である。
