...The more a society develops and grows, the more dynamic and changeable its human regions are, and the regions are recognized as open spatial systems that are mutually related. Geography studies the regional differentiation of land space based on this concept of region, and is therefore also called chorology. Therefore, it is unreasonable to position geography in the dichotomy of natural science or cultural science (or spiritual science or historical science) in the neo-Kantian classification of sciences.
