Kusano

Ichibacho is a former post town in the eastern part of Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The Kyudai Main Line runs through the town. It developed as a post town and market town on the Hita Highway, but it declined when National Route 210 passed through the outskirts of the town, and today it is primarily an agricultural town, with a focus on fruit cultivation such as mandarin oranges and persimmons. There are remains of the jori system, and old temples such as Sennenji Temple and Senkoji Temple can be found here.

福岡県久留米市(くるめし)東部にある旧宿場、市場町。久大(きゅうだい)本線が通じる。日田街道(ひたかいどう)の宿場町、市場町として発達したが、国道210号が町外れを通過したために衰退し、現在はミカン、カキなどの果樹栽培を中心とした農業が行われる。条里制の遺構があり、専念(せんねん)寺、千光(せんこう)寺などの古寺がある。
