Continuously variable transmission - mutanhensokusouchi
A transmission is a device that can continuously change the rotational speed of the driven shaft to any value within a certain range. There are mechanical, fluid, and electrical types, but in the narrow sense it refers only to mechanical types, which include those that use friction wheels, those that use V-belts and sheaves, and those that use chains and sheaves.
