〘Noun〙 Buddhist term. The words of the sutra recited at the end of daily religious services (gongyō) , memorial services, Buddhist ceremonies, and other Buddhist rites. It expresses the wish to direct the merits of the Buddhist rites toward the enlightenment of oneself and others.
