Electric guitar

Electric guitar
A guitar that uses electricity to amplify the sound and change the tone. It is usually called an "electric guitar" or "electric". In response to the demand from guitarists working in dance halls and other venues for guitars that resonated well and produced a loud sound, the first guitar with a metal resonator inside the body was invented in the United States in the mid-1920s. Some guitarists also tried to attach microphones or phonograph cartridges to their guitars, but in the early 1930s, the first electric guitars were invented with a pickup made of a coil wound around a horseshoe-shaped magnet, and were commercialized by manufacturers such as Rickenbacker and Gibson.
