[1] The Japanese name for the Pleiades, an open star cluster in the constellation Taurus. It is the fourth western constellation of the 28 mansions, called Subaru . It is 408 light years away. Six of them are visible to the naked eye, and they are also called the sextuplet star. The name means a ruling star, and it has been respected since ancient times as a symbol of kings and a star of agriculture. Nine stars. Pleiades. Sumaru. Sumaru. Tairyo. [10-volume Wamyōshō ( c. 934 )] [2] (Subaru, Subaru) A literary magazine. Published in total 60 issues from January 1909 to December 1913. After the discontinuation of "Myojo," Ishikawa Takuboku, Kinoshita Mokutarō, Yoshii Isamu and others launched the magazine under the leadership of Mori Ogai. It was centered on poetry and became a base for neo-romantic thought. The name was chosen by Ogai, who included the "Mukudori Tsuushin" (Starling News) in every issue, and other stories such as "Youth" and "Geese" were also published. After 1914, "Waratte To" (We) took over.

[一] おうし座にある散開星団プレアデスの和名。二十八宿の西方第四宿で昴(ぼう)。距離四〇八光年。肉眼で見えるのは六個で、六連星(むつらぼし)ともいう。統(す)べる星の意で、古くから王者の象徴、農耕の星として尊重された。九曜の星。すばるぼし。すまる。すまるぼし。大梁。〔十巻本和名抄(934頃)〕[二] (スバル・昴) 文芸雑誌。明治四二年(一九〇九)一月から大正二年(一九一三)一二月まで全六〇冊刊行。「明星」廃刊後石川啄木、木下杢太郎、吉井勇らが森鴎外を指導者として発刊。詩歌中心で新ロマン主義思潮の拠点となった。命名は鴎外で毎号「椋鳥(むくどり)通信」をのせ、「青年」「雁」などを掲載した。大正三年以降「我等」が継承。
