A mountain in the Rocky Mountains in central Colorado, western United States. It is located in the White River National Forest, 19 km southwest of Leadville. At 4,399 m above sea level, it is the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains. It is surrounded by a series of rugged peaks over 4,000 m high that have been eroded by ice, and forms the headwaters of the Colorado River and the Arkansas River.
