Canary date palm

...Other than this species, the following species are important mainly for ornamental purposes. The Canary palm (P. canariensis Hort.ex Chabaud) (illustration) is the largest palm in the Phoenix genus, along with the date palm, and can reach a height of 10 to 15 meters and a diameter of 50 to 90 cm. The leaves are pinnately lobed, 5 to 7 meters long, and curved almost arched, with 150 to 200 pairs of leaflets.
