It includes astronomical tides, whose main effect is the gravitational force of celestial bodies such as the Moon and the Sun, meteorological tides caused by changes in the weather, radiation tides, whose ultimate cause is thought to be solar radiation (some meteorological tides are also considered to be radiation tides), and anomalous tides (anomalous sea levels), whose driving force and mechanism of occurrence are not yet fully understood.
