However, one of the nymphs, Kallistō, fell in love with Zeus and gave birth to a child, Arkas, which angered the goddess (or Zeus' wife Hera), who transformed her into a bear, and the mother and child later became the constellations of the Great Bear and the Little Bear. The famous hunter Aktaion, who saw the goddess bathing naked while hunting, was transformed into a deer and torn to pieces by his own dogs. …
